Forget Me Not - Lost Coast Designs

Good morning everyone. This time around I want to share with you how I created the Twinchie I made for the New Stamp Release that was over on the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity.

I started out by painting a piece of 2x2 matboard black.  Once that was dry, I stamped the Heart from the Fish and Heart Set and colored it in with Primacolor pencils.  I added green metallic thread around the edges and found the sentiment in my stash.

Easy peasy and the black background really sets off the other colors.  You should see how the colors pop in person.

Stay tuned!  As always, there will be more next month from our talented group of designers.

Happy Place

It's Day 1 of the New Stamp Release event going on at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity.  Give them a visit and leave a comment over there for a chance to win a $10 gift certificate to Lost Coast Designs or Carmen's Veranda.

I worked with the new CV Crayons stamp & the new CV Clear stamp Happy Place.  I used the heated soft matte gel background technique from Keren Tamir to get the mottled and slightly crackled texture.

Man, does this bring back memories of afternoons spent coloring in coloring books.  Some of you may be like me and still color to this day.

Head on over to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity to see some of the great new releases.  I think you'll love them as much as I do.

Until later.................

Beauty Mystery Magic

Last month, I showed all of you an ATC I had created for Lost Coast Portal to Creativity's Black & White Challenge.  Today I want to show you how I created it.  I admit, it's very easy and nothing complicated about it.

I started by stamping the NEW 5 Circles onto a piece of paper then cutting them out.  I them set them to the side.  Next, I stamped ATC Gothic Text onto the ATC and then added circles using a lid and white paint.  When that didn't show up too good, I switched to black paint and loved it.  I then took a paintbrush, dipped the bottom in black ink, and added dots around the circles.  Once the paint was dry, I added the 5 Circles I had cut out.  Finally, I stamped Beauty, Mystery, and Magic using Miscellaneous Words, cut them out, and centered them on the ATC.

Just goes to show what you can do with just two colors.

Easter, Irish, Alice, and even a Bird for Gecko Galz

.
Good morning everyone!  Spring is in full swing and things are blooming (at least here).  With that in mind, I tried to keep things spring-y this month and also stay with our Customer Challenge theme of Alice's Tea Party.

So, let's get started:

I sprayed pink and yellow mist for my background and then stenciled on triangles using modeling paste I tinted green.  I cut out the image from Easter Wishes and added it to my ATC and then added a Chit Chat sticker to the top (I forgot to write detailed instructions).

I know St. Patrick's Day was last month but I couldn't resist using this image from the Luck O The Irish digital collage sheet.  Yes, once again, I forgot to write detailed instructions.

For this coaster, I used a Gina Marie Quilt die to create a background on the coaster, alterating pink and black paper.  I then cut out the image of Alice and the Butterflies from the Go Ask Alice collage sheet and arranged them in the center going off to the right.  I cute out "Alice" from the same sheet and added it to the top left.  I sealed everything with a couple of coats of matte varnish.

f
I used the Hat from the Mad Hatter Digital Stamp Set and a piece of paper from the Mad Tea Party Paper Pack.  I used "We're All Mad Here" from the Go Ask Alice digital collage sheet.

This lat once was a breeze.  I had this great piece of paper that match one of the images from the Blue Bird of Happiness collage sheet.  I first sprayed the paper with Lindy's T-Bird Turquoise and Sea Oats to help bring out the color of the paper.  I then fussy cut the image out and added it to the bottom of the card.  I finished up with Chit Chat words that I sprayed with the same Lindy's mists and outlined with a micron pen.

I hope you enjoyed these ATCs.  Don't forget Gecko Galz has tons of great collage sheets.

Until later.......................

Tea Time for Gecko Galz

Good evening everyone.  I'm a little behind today but I want to share the tag I created for Gecko Galz April Customer Challenge Alice's Tea Party.

I started by cutting out the images from Go Ask Alice and Whimsical Jewels digital collage sheets and then set them aside.  Next I stenciled the background using the TH Trellis & Doodle stencils together with Desert Sand Ink.  I followed that up with some random stamping using a text stamp and Stazon Timber Brown Ink.

I edged the tag with thin black tape and ran a purple ink pad around the edges.  I then arranged my images and added the fiber.

Thank you for joining me this evening.  The Customer Challenge runs all month at Gecko Galz and you could win a $25 Gecko Galz shopping spree!

Until later....................
